CBIT Professor Booked For Raping Girlfriend

Hyderabad: A case was registered on Tuesday against an assistant professor of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Techonology (CBIT) at Gandipet for raping his lover on the promise of marriage.

According to the police, the accused R. Ranga Reddy(27) was in a relation with the 26-year-old victim, who was his classmate in the college. In the five-year long relationship Ranga physically exploited many times by promising to marry her. When the victim insisted on marriage, he started avoiding her stating they belong to different castes.

The victim then lodged a complaint with the Uppal police against Ranga Reddy. The police registered a case and are investigating. No arrests have been made yet.
