Hyderabad: A case has been registered against Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) principal Chennakesava Rao on Monday over allegations of abusing an assistant professor K Gangadhar Rao by taking his caste after attempting to kidnap him.

The complainant alleged that the principal abused and tried to kidnap him after he requested the latter to regularize his job

Narsingi police have registered a case under the SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The complainant Gangadhar (45) alleged that after he asked the principal to regularize his job the principal abused and tried to kidnap him two days ago.

Inspector Ramchander Rao said, “The complainant alleged that the principal abused and tried to kidnap him after he requested the latter to regularize his job.”

However, no arrest has been made.
