CBI inquiry ordered into KCR's assets

CBI inquiry ordered into KCR's assets - Sakshi Post

In a massive blow to TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao,  the Principal Special Court for CBI cases  in Hyderabad on Friday ordered a probe into  KCR's assets. It also asked CBI to submit its findings on the investigations.

Earlier, a resident of Hyderabad V Balaji Vadera filed a private plea seeking a probe into the alleged "illegal assets" of KCR. Balaji had first approached HC, but the court asked him to approach lower court. Balaji then approached the CBI court.

Reportedly, the petitioner told the court that KCR, his nephew Harish Rao and Vijayashanti, who recently joined Congress, had amassed huge wealth by misusing power.  Working on the petition, Judge N. Balayogi issued the orders to register a FIR and then conduct a probe into the allegations under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

He also mentioned that his petition was filed based upon the allegations made by former TRS leader Raghunandana Rao, who quit the party last year.

According to Rao, he had recorded footage of KCR indulging in acts of blackmailing. He pointed out that nepotism and corruption was extremely widespread in the party.  (Raghunandan threatens to expose TRS' murky deals)

The court also ordered the probe into the assets of Harish Rao and Vijayashanthi.
