CBI court verdict on Jagan Mohan's bail plea likely today - Sakshi Post

The CBI court will pronounce its judgment on the bail petition of YSR Congress party chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has been in jail since May 2012 in connection with a case relating to quid-pro-quo investments.

The arguments from both sides have already been concluded. Arguing on behalf of Jagan, his lawyer Sushil Kumar said since the investigations were completed, he should be granted bail. Jagan’s lawyer contended that bail is a fundamental right and should not be stopped based on person’s stature. The CBI has completed its probe against Jagan and others in quid pro quo and Vanipic cases, the agency told the court today. CBI filed a memo in the court today in which it mentioned that it has completed the investigation as per High Court ruling.

Scores of Jagan's supporters have gathered near the party office and in the court premises hoping for the good news. Several partymen and well wishers also offered special pujas for the release of their icon.

On Wednesday, the CBI court had reserved its order on whether Jagan Mohan should be granted bail or not. The judgment will be out anytime. Stay tuned for updates.
