CBI court rejects Jagan’s bail petition - Sakshi Post


The CBI Special Court hearing the statutory bail plea filed under Section 167 (2) CrPC by Kadapa MP and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, rejected the appeal and refused to grant bail to him in the alleged disproportionate assets case. 

On November 16, Jagan Mohan Reddy had filed two separate pleas seeking bail. His counsels Padmanabha Reddy and Niranjan Reddy contended that their client was eligible for enlargement as the CBI had failed to file the charge sheet with regard to the seven distinct offenses referred to by the apex court even after the stipulated 90-day period.

Jagan Mohan Reddy was arrested by the CBI on May 27 this year has been lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison, Hyderabad.

The court will hear the other bail petition filed under Section 437 of the CrPC on November 30.
