CBCID busted PG medical scam, Rs.1 crore collected per paper
CBCID police have busted the PG medical scam that took place in Andhra Pradesh. It found that some irregularities took place in the entrance test.
The officials have so far arrested five students and two brokers relating to the case.
They found that the scam took place at a consultancy at Srinagar colony in the city. An amount of Rs.70 crores has changed hands in the scam. An amount of one crore rupees was collected from each candidate.
The modus operandi of the culprits was such that they formed a syndicate to leak the paper, said Addl.DGP of CID Krishna Prasad.
He said that about 25 ranks in the top 100 were secured by the candidates, who bought the paper in the way.
One Anju Singh was found as the main culprit in the case. K.Muneeshwar Reddy of Rayachoti and Sainath of Nizamabad were arrested by the agency so far.
