Car Catches Fire on Tirumala Ghat Road

Tirumala: A car was completely gutted in fire on the second ghat road enroute to the holy shrine of Tirumala in the wee hours of Friday. 

Short circuit is said to have caused the fire. Passengers of the vehicle, however, managed to escape before fire engulfed the entire car. The car bore the registration number of Tamil Nadu state.

Meanwhile, traffic came to a standstill for a distance of over three kilometers due to the mishap. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) vigilance department deployed emergency personnel to regulate the flow of traffic on the ghat road in view of the fire mishap.
