Cargo plane overshoots runway, goes across two-lane road
A cargo plane overshot the runway and crashed into a road in Italy on Friday morning. This shocking incident did not however, cause any casualties. The incident occurred at Bergamo’s Orio al Serio international airport.
The plane, a Boeing 737-400, landed at 4.07 am Italian time and came from Milan. The jet crossed the runway and thrust itself across a two-lane road at the end of the runway.
After the incident, the airport was temporarily closed and was opened after several hours. The plane belonged to courier service major the DHL.
