Capital search committee reaches Visakhapatnam - Sakshi Post

K.Sivaramakrishnan committee, which was appointed to search a new capital for residuary Andhra Pradesh, reached Visakhapatnam on Friday.

It will tour in the city extensively on Saturday. It will visit several areas in the city.

The committee will study different features of the city to finalise whether the city is fit to be the capital of the state. It will also visit Vijayawada city soon.

Citizens of Visakhapatnam are hoping that their city will finally be picked up to be the new capital.

Other members of the committee include Rathin Roy (Director of National Institute of Public Finance and Policy in New Delhi), Aromar Revi, (Director of Indian Institute for Human Settlements in Bengaluru), Jagan Shah, (Director of National Institute of Urban Affairs in New Delhi) and K T Ravindran, (former Dean of School of Planning and Architecture in New Delhi).
