Capital ripples in TDP !
The issue of new capital for Andhra Pradesh has created some form of trouble in the ruling TDP in the state.
The statements of the ministers on the same are creating ripples in the ruling TDP at present. Evenbefore the submission of Sivaramakrishnan committee on the same, the state ministers are expressing their opinions on the same at their will and this is the reason for the trouble.
Minister for Municipal Administration Narayana said that the capital may be formed between Vijayawada and Guntur. With this, some form of dissidence started in the party. The leaders from Rayalaseema found fault with the statement of Narayana.
State deputy chief minister K.E.Krishna Murhty blamed that the land prices between the two cities were increased after the statement of Narayana on the new capital. He also said that the available land between Vijayawada and Guntur is not enough for the capital formation. He clarified that the necessary land for forming the capital will be acquired as per the government price only.
Anantapur MP J.C.Diwakar Reddy opined that it is not possible to form the capital in Vijayawada. “Rayalaseema people are seeking the capital in their region only. However, Macherla will also be a nice capital. But, no one is listening to our words,” said the MP.
“It is not correct for anyone to expect the capital in their respective districts only. The capital must be formed where plenty of government land and water are available,” said Minister for Forests Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy.
Even the chief minister N.Chandrababu Naidu warned his ministerial colleagues not to make irresponsible statements on the capital, the ministers are not listening to his words.
We have to wait and see how many ripples the issue of capital will create in the state.
