Cannot adjust with ‘use and throw’ policy: Dadi - Sakshi Post

“TDP president Chandrababu Naidu had treated me in an awkward manner. How can I continue in the party? I cannot adjust with the people having a set of mind of ‘use and throw’ policy”, said Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, senior TDP leader, who faxed his resignation letter to the party chief on Thursday.

Talking to newsmen at Anakapalli on Friday after holding a meeting with his supporters, Veerabhadra Rao expressed his strong displeasure over Chandrababu. He had faced humiliation from the party chief after serving in the party for over three decades, he said and added that he was kept at bay during Chandrababu’s padayatra and how can I go to him. Dadi said his son Ratnakar had made all arrangements for padayatra, his name has not been mentioned anywhere. His entire family has taken it seriously and he was forced to take a decision to leave the party, Dadi explained.

Dadi’s decision came in as a shock to TDP cadre in north coastal Andhra. He is known for his clean politics and a strategist. He had been in the close group of Late NTR. His exposure in stage made him closure to NTR. Dadi did his MA in Hindi and worked as Hindi lecturer at Anakapalli. He had resigned to his job and joined TDP in the presence of NTR.

During August crisis of Nadendla Bhaskara Rao, NTR gave him a chance to contest as MLA from Anakapalli. He was made as Minister for Information soon after he was elected in 1985.

Though all the trusted leaders of NTR joined the hands with Chandrababu Naidu, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao had remained with NTR during second August crisis. Since then, Chandrababu Naidu was keeping Dadi at distance with the only reason that he was close to NTR, say his supporters. However, he continued in the party for more than 15 years sailing in the same boat with Chandrababu Naidu. He has been elevated as floor leader in the legislative council. Dadi had expected MLC second time, but Chandrababu Naidu had chosen Yenamala Ramakrishnudu of same constituency.

Dadi said he was meeting YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday and would take a decision after meeting him.
