Can't convene Assembly: Kiran to YSRCP MLAs

YSR Congress Party MLAs were arrested when they staged a dharna in front of Samatha block ( ‘C’ block) at State Secretariat on Friday.

The YSRCP MLAs called on the Chief Minister and requested him to convene the Assembly so that a resolution in favour of United Andhra Pradesh could be passed even before the draft bill or resolution is tabled by the ruling Congress.

It is learnt that the CM has turned down their request and refused to accept the memorandum of the YSRCP MLAs seeking convening of Assembly session to pass a resolution in support of united AP.
The MLAs then squatted on the road, upon which the police arrested them and shifted them to Saifabad police stattion. Holding placards that read 'convene Assembly', the MLAs raised slogans in support of united Andhra Pradesh.

They were released later.
