Can Chandrababu Answer BJP’s 10 Questions?
Tirupati: The Andhra Pradesh BJP leaders arranged a press meet here today called "Satyameva Jayate" to highlight the corrupt policies of the TDP government as well as cheating the people of the state. They said that the state Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was misguiding the people and was criticising the Centre. The meet was attended by BJP MLCs Somu Veerraju and Madhav as well as party state secretary Suresh.
Talking to the media, Veerraju criticised Chandrababu for constructing temporary buildings in the state capital though the Centre had disbursed Rs 1500 crores. The funds were not utilised properly and this was evident when we go to the state capital, he said. He called upon Chandrababu to explain the facts to people during his Dharma Porata Deeksha to be held tomorrow in Tirupati. The BJP MLC was of the opinion that AP CM had no moral right to talk about Polavaram. He informed that the foundation for Polavaram project was laid by late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Similarly, another BJP MLC, Madhav pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi never spoke about Special Category Status (SCS) to AP in Tirupati public meeting. As announced in Nellore meeting, the Centre has offered Special Package. He accused that the videos of the PM shown by Chandrababu were all morphed. Madhav questioned if the AP CM had fulfilled any of the 600 promises made. He found it surprising that the CM, who was responsible for the safety of the people was asking for his security.
On behalf of BJP, they posed 10 questions to Chandrababu and demanded his replies to them:
1. Was it not cheating to merge the mandals which were going to get submerged due to Polavaram?
2. Leave alone SCS, why didn't you take Rs 16,000 crores as Special Package to the state?
3. Was it fair to mix up TDP promises and revenue deficit?
4. Isn’t it true that except for SCS, the Centre has fulfilled all the other promises?
5. Were you not assured of Rs 1000 crores more after having given Rs 1500 crores without any DPR?
6. Is it not true that the Centre has established 11 academic institutions within four years, when they were to be established in 10 years?
7. Haven't you received academic institutes and defence projects out of the way?
8. Was it a fault to give funds for ensuring 24 hours power supply, establishment of petroleum and shipping projects?
9. Is it not that AP was given huge amounts of funds which no other state had got?
10. Was it our fault to grant four Smart Cities and 33 Amrut Towns?
