Call Money racket rocks AP Assembly - Sakshi Post

The Call Money racket issue dominated the proceedings of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Friday. The issue led to acrimonious debate what with the Government using dilatory and diversionary tactics as an unrelenting YSRCP pressed for a debate.

The day begain with the speaker suspending the YSRCP MLAs till the discussion on Ambedkar was over. After the house reassembled, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu made a statement on the Call Money scam. He said none would be spared in this case and said over 180 persons involved in the scam were arrested. He said a large number of the arrested were YSRCP members and said only 22 TDP men were involved in the Call Money scam.
During his speech, the chief minister lost his cool and called the Opposition MLAs rowdys. He said the Opposition MLAs did not have any experience of how the house functions. Taking cue from Chandrababu, BJP member Vishru Raju even said "if we want, we can finish you off in two minutes."
When the leader of the Opposition sought to raise a point of order, the ruling party members objected.  YS Jagan strongly objected to the chief minister making a statement, while he himself is an accused. He also strongly criticised the police highhandedness on the anganwadi workers. As the YSRCP members trooped into the well to protest, the speaker adjourned the house for 10 minutes.
