- In UP, the party yielded lot of ground to the Samajwadi Party. The party did well only in few seats.
- In Rajasthan, where four seats were at stake, the Congress won three and the BJP one. In Gujarat, nine seats were at stake, of which the Congress did well in three.
- Regional parties Samajwadi Party did well in UP, while Trinamool Congress continued its winning streak in West Bengal.
- Of the three MPs seats, the BJP retained Vadodara, vacated by Narendra Modi comfortably. But, in Medak and Mainpuri, the TRS and the SP recorded handsome victories.
