Bus Splits Into Two During Journey 

Brazil: A city bus split into two causing anxious moments for passengers in Palhoca, Brazil.

The bus was on a routine journey when it split leaving the passengers running for the exit. Footage from the extended bus shows riders first alerted by a screeching noise. A few seconds later the front of the bus dramatically breaks off from the back. The vehicle tipped to the ground and the roof of the bus flapped over the gaping hole and screaming passengers moved for the back door, trying to avoid the debris that had sprayed along the aisle.

The clip was filmed on a mobile phone at the back of the articulated bus and shows some seated and others clutching poles as the vehicle seemingly moves off from a stop.
