Bus engine emanates smoke, passengers alighted

Panic gripped passengers of Neeta travels' Volvo bus when smoke emanated from the rear engine of the bus at Kotta Kota mandal near Amada Bakula of Mahbubnagar district in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to reports, the bus driver noticing smoke coming from the engine, stopped the bus, and immediately alerted the passengers to get down. The driver managed to sort the problem.
The Volvo bus was carrying more than 35 passengers from Hyderabad to Bangalore. The incident happened at 2.30 am but the Bus travels authority did not make alternate arrangements for the passengers. They had to wait many hours in the dark.
