Bulandshahr Woman Beaten To Unconscious State Suspecting Infidelity

Lucknow: In a gruesome incident, a woman from a village in Uttar Pradesh was tied to a tree and beaten up black and blue by the village panchayat and her husband, suspecting her fidelity.

The one-minute video which showed the woman wailing in pain after every blow on her body with a whip has gone viral, showcasing the cruel hearts of the people around her. The woman's husband, who thrashed her severely with a belt, a stick and a whip was also seen in the video shouting at her "Ab Tho Bhaag Ke Dhika".

The punishment ended when the woman lost her consciousness and it's even sad to speculate the woman's condition after the incident. But according to a report, the woman was dragged to a room after the incident where the former village panchayat officer and his men molested her.

"The woman had an affair with a villager and tried to elope with him," a man said backing the punishment given to her.

Though the incident is believed to have occurred on March 10 in Bulandshahr district on Uttar Pradesh, it came to light after the video went viral on social media. The video was shot by one of the villagers and uploaded on social media.

Around four members including the husband and the village panchayat were arrested in connection with the case. An FIR was also filed on 25 others.
