Brave bus driver dies after saving passengers

In an incident that would restore faith in humanity, a brave and alert bus driver, on Monday, saved the lives of 20 passengers, when he stopped the vehicle on the side of the road after getting a heart attack.
G. Pamulu, 35, driver with APSRTC, was plying from Nuzhiveedu to Vijaywada at 11:30 am on Monday, when the incident took place. The bus left Nuziveedu bus depot at 11:30, ten minutes into the journey, Pamulu experienced serious shooting pain in the left side of his body. On realising that he probably must be having a heart attack, the braveheart, quickly swerved his bus to the left, and stopped it, before collapsing.
The passengers tried to shift him onto a seat and tried resuscitating him, but he was dead by then. Pamulu was a contractual driver with APSRTC for the last 3.5 years and is survived by a wife and two children.
