Brahmanandam’s Comments On Chiru Talk Show Stir Trouble

Veteran actors Chiranjeevi and Brahmanandam's light-hearted conversation on a reality show landed the two in trouble.

The comedian who appeared on Chiranjeevi's show, recalled his days with late director Jandhyala. While reminiscing the olden days, Brahmanandam spoke on the director's alleged boozing habit. Brahmanadam and Jandhyala shared a stage together at an event once. Throwing light upon this, the actor said that Jandhyala is alleged to have asked him whether he looked drunk.

This banter between the duo didn't go down well with Jandayala’s wife Annapurna. The latter apparently called Brahmanadam and said that it was not correct on his part to make such comments about her late husband. The comedian, later, apologized for his comments. Clippings of the comments were removed from the episode that was aired on Hotstar.
