Boy killed, girl hurt in TV serial shooting

A seven-year-old boy died on the spot while a girl was seriously injured when a Telugu serial actor rammed into a crowd of onlookers in Hyderabad today.

The female actor, Archana, is understood to have lost control over wheel and drove into a crowd, who gathered to watch the shooting process on the outskirts of the city killing the boy on teh spot and injuring another girl seriously. The injured gorl was shifted to a nearby hospital where she is undersgoing treatment . Doctors said that the girl is put under observation for next 24 hours and her condition will be known only after that.

The actor, Archana, however said,"I was in front of the wheel as part of the TV serial shooting and many people gathered to watch the scenes being shot. On seeing such massive crowd I lost control and rammed the car into the divider before hitting the children."

According to police, the actress did not have a valid driving license besides no permission had been taken for the shooting of the serial in the locality.
 It was a scene from the serial wherein the actress was supposed to drive her vehicle till the pavement and walk into the garden. However, the car was reportedly driven in a rash and negligent manner causing the mishap, police said based on preliminary investigation.
Chandranagar police registered a case and are investigating. However, no arrests have been made till now.
