Hyderabad: A 12-year-old boy ran away from his home at Kukatpally on Monday after his parents refused to buy him a bicycle.

Abdul Hazeez, a resident of Yellammabanda under Kukatpally makes money by selling goggles on roadside at Pragathinagar. Abdul's son Arif is studying in Class 7 at a nearby Madrasa. The boy was pestering his parents to buy him a bicycle for the past few days. As the family does not have enough money, Abdul denied the boy's desire to have a bicycle.

On Sunday, Abdul accompanied his son Arif to the shop and later he asked his son to go home for lunch. When Abdul returned to his home in the evening, he found his son was missing. The family searched for Arif in the vicinity and finally lodged a complaint with the police.

Earlier, Arif did the same thing when he was scolded by his school teacher for not doing homework and he returned home a week later.
