Smriti Mandhana, the new sensation in Indian women cricket, has turned out to be the new crush of Indian youth. Of late, memes, videos and interesting collage of images related to this young cricketer Mandhana are being widely shared by social media users on the Internet.

Born in Mumbai, Mandhana and her parents moved to Sangli town in Maharashtra where she was introduced to the game of cricket. Her father Shrinivas Mandhana, who is a chemical distributor, had also played cricket for Sangli district. She was inspired watching her brother playing Under-16 tournament for Maharashtra state. Mandhana secured place in Maharashtra Under-15 squad when she was barely 9 and at 11 years, she was picked for Under-19 state team.
