Bouncers to guard Gandhi Bhavan

Gandhi Bhavan, the state Congress headquarters on Wednesday resembled an audio launch event. Instead of having just security personnel guarding the establishment, the officials had employed bouncers as well to control party activists if they became unruly. 

Sources at Gandhi Bhavan said that these arrangements were made to control party aspirants.  Several bouncers were seen on duty at Gandhi Bhavan today. 

Bouncers are generally employed by pubs or bars to deal with unruly customers.

A Congress spokesperson said hiring bouncers at the time of elections is a routine practise and other parties too hire them.
