Bottles and Protests welcome Congress MP during Rachabanda

In a major embarrassment to Congress, MP Chinta Mohan had to face the ire of two groups of protesters, out of which one group comprised women who threw bottles at the MP. Mohan was in Tirupati for a Rachabanda programme when the incident took place.

According to reports, a group of women angry over the nonchalant attitude displayed by the MP towards their problems, resorted to throwing bottles, in a bid to show their angry and to force him to come up with solutions for their problems. Irked at this, Mohan left the meeting in the middle.
In the same event scores of CPM party activists staged a dharna demanding house sites for the poor. This is incident is not a first. Sometime back in yet another Rachabanda programme, Mohan had faced protests from Samaikyandhra supporters.
