Botsa’s plea to PM to resolve power crisis - Sakshi Post

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president and Minister for Transport Botsa Satyanarayana today appealed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to initiate some urgent measures to resolve the power crisis in the State.

In a memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister in Hyderabad, Botsa Satyanarayana said that the power crisis in the State is deepening by the day and wanted the Centre to come to the State rescue. The PCC chief also mentioned in his memorandum that the State is facing severe power crunch of 1500 million units a day. He appealed to the Prime Minister to allow the State to utilize its share of power generated at the domestic power stations.

However, the Prime Minister’s response to the PCC president’s appeal was not immediately known. Singh was in the city today to address the ongoing Biodiversity summit.
