Border village people in no man's land

People of border mandals such as Nellipaka in Rajahmundry are being denied basic medical attention as doctors of each state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana claim that the
patients belong to the other state.
Consequently, patients suffering from various ailments are living on the edge. A case in point is that of Rona Mary who suffered a snake bite
A resident of Kusumanapalli village in the mandal, the first grader suffered a snake bite on Friday. Her parents, Pusam Srinivas and Sittamma called the 108 helpline number. However,
the 108 staff refused to send an ambulance as the village is in Telangana and therefore out of their jurisdiction.
Therefore, the parents rushed her to Bhadrachalam area hospital on a two wheeler. The hospital staff refused treatment stating the patient is a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
Finding themselves in a no man's land and time ticking for their daughter, the parents rushed her to a private hospital. Doctors treating her stated her condition to be critical.
