Bonthu Rammohan to take charge as Mayor on Friday

Hyderabad: Bonthu Rammohan will take charge as Mayor of the Hyderabad city’s civic body Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at around 12:40 pm on Friday.
Rammohan, a staunch follower of TRS supremo KCR, was elected unanimously by the party's corporators on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Ali, Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy and Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and T. Padma Rao will attend the event.
The ruling TRS has scored a landslide victory in the GHMC elections held on February 2. Out of 150 divisions (wards) in GHMC, TRS has bagged 99 seats with huge margins and captured both Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts which is a record in the GHMC history.
