Bommarillu Actor Commits Suicide Over Depression
Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Vijay Sai on Monday committed suicide at his flat in Yousufguda here in the city. It is learnt that the actor who played a comedian was reportedly in depression over not getting roles in movies. He appeared in Telugu movies like Bommarillu, Ammayulu Abbayulu, Current, Mantra and various other small-budget movies.
A case has been registered by the police and investigation is on. Further reports are still awaited. The Tollywood plunged into grief over the tragedy.
According to the sources, Vijay was neck-deep in debts after he had invested his money on a film project with a well-known producer. However, the name of the producer has'nt come out yet.
Vijay was introduced to the Tollywood with comedy film — Backpocket. He had earned recognition in actor Siddharth’s Telugu movie Bommarillu in which he donned the role of bestie of the hero. Later, opportunities became thinner for him in the industry.
Family members and his friends said that he had not been coming out from his house for the past a few days. Vijay's mother told the media persons that her son has a strained relationship with his wife Vanitha. It is learnt Vanitha is living separately due to some issues with Vijay. His daughter would come to see him once in every week, said Vijay’s mother.
