Bodies of  bus mishap victims shifted to Hyderabad hospital - Sakshi Post


Hyderabad,  The bodies of 42 passengers out of the 45 deceased, who were charred to death in a deadly road mishap involving a Volvo bus, were shifted Wednesday night to a government hospital in Hyderabad city, from Mahbubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, the police said.

Earlier, the authorities conducted the post mortem of all 45 bodies at a government hospital in Mahbubnagar, they said. 42 bodies of the 45 dead were taken to Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad where they will be kept until all the deceased are identified, Mahbubnagar District Superintendent of Police D Nagendra Kumar said tonight. Out of the 45 dead, three have been identified as Priyanka, besides Amar and Dinesh Ramanjaneya. Their bodies have been handed over to their relatives, the SP said. Relatives and family members of the dead have been asked to submit their blood samples to enable authorities to conduct DNA tests, the police said. The incident occurred when a private luxury bus burst into flames near Palem village here today, the police said. The accident occurred shortly after 5 AM when the diesel tank of the Hyderabad-bound bus from Bangalore hit the railing above a culvert near Palem, around 130 km from Hyderabad on Bangalore-Hyderabad National Highway when its driver was trying to overtake a car, the police said. The whole bus was engulfed in flames in a matter of minutes. The rear right side of the bus (having a diesel tank) hit the median of the road causing sparks. Within seconds, the tank caught fire and burst into flames which spread all over the bus, the police said.
