‘Blade-Gang’ Attempts To Kidnap 17-Year-Old Girl In Vijayawada

The police are questioning eye-witnesses to gather further details besides collecting CCTV footage from the vicinity.
Vijayawada: A "blade-gang" in the city caused panic among school students on Tuesday, when they tried to kidnap a intermediate girl at Bandar Road in broad daylight.
According to the police, five unidentified persons stopped the victim and asked her to come along with them. When she resisted, they tried to assault her and scare her by showing blades. Luckily, another school girl noticed the commotion and raised an alarm. The miscreants panicked and fled the scene.
A case has been registered with the police following the complaint from the victim. The police are questioning eye-witnesses to gather further details besides collecting CCTV footage from the vicinity.
