BJP readies shock treatment for Shiv Sena
Mumbai: In bid to shock former ally Shiv Sena, the BJP reportedly is getting ready to put paid to the possibility of a post-poll alliance with it and is ready to go alone in Maharastra.
It is been learnt that BJP has approached smaller parties and held close door meeting with them. Speaking to media persons after the meeting, BJP MP Kirit Somaiya said “As of now, with support of smaller parties and independent MLAs, we have in all 135 MLAs and we are just nine short of majority to form the government."
As per reports, BJP has ruled out agreeing to all the demands set by the Sena for a post-poll alliance and government fortmation. Saffron party also rejected unconditional outside support from NCP.
Meanwhile Home Minister Rajnath Singh, who is a BJP observer for Maharashtra, will visit the state only after Diwali to review the situation. Singh will visit Mumbai along with senior leader JP Nadda who will decide the fortune of MLAs
