BJP MLA courts controversy, supports Una attackers

Hyderabad: Goshamahal MLA and local BJP leader Raja Singh sparked trouble when he posted on Facebook, his support for the attack on Dalits in Una recently.

In the video post, he termed the actions of Gau Rakshaks as approriate. It may be recalled that the latter had beat up Dalits for carrying cow meat and warned that “anyone who kills a cow or consumes its meat will meet the same fate”. “I want to ask seculars, vote-seekers and Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati that why are they defaming Dalits? Many Dalit brothers work with me in protecting cows in Hyderabad and Telangana,” he said in the video.

The Dalits in Una deserved the punishment, Raja Singh said and appreciated the attackers for teaching them a lesson. The MLA cautioned people against indulging in activities that aim to promote killing of cows.
