Hyderabad: Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' has been embroiled in controversy for casting a Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the film. After Raj Thackeray-led MNS and some other political parties now Telanagna BJP MLA Raja Singh opposed film’s release and has given an ultimatum to the exhibitor.

The MLA reportedly has sent letters to multiplex owners in his constituency directing them to not to screen the movie. The letter has been sent to the managers of Inox, Santosh, Swapna, Ramakrishna and Tarakarama cinema halls.

In a short video statement Johar said that his country comes first for him and hampering the release of the movie will actually hurt 300 strong Indian crew of the movie

"Our soldiers have been killed by them and we don't want to show any anti-Indian feature in our theaters," said the MLA.

The movie is slated for pre-Diwali release on October 28 and the same time Ajay Devgan's ' Shivaay' will be released.

Meanwhile, in a short video statement Johar said that his country comes first for him and hampering the release of the movie will actually hurt 300 strong Indian crew of the movie.

"I understand the sentiments because I feel the same. Going forward, of course, I would like to say that I would not engage with the talent from the neighboring country given the circumstance. But with that same energy I beseech you that over 300 Indians in my crew have put their blood, sweat and tears in my film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and I don't think it is fair to them to face any kind of turbulence on account of other fellow Indians," he said.
