BJP meets to chose Maha CM on Tuesday - Sakshi Post

With all road blocks to government formation cleared, a triumphant BJP MLAs will meet on Tuesday to elect its chief minister in Maharashtra.

In all likelihood, Devendra Fadnavis, the man who ensured that BJP broke its pre-poll alliance and emerged the largest party in Maharashtra, is all set to become the first BJP chief minister of the biggest state in Western India.

The icing on the cake for the BJP is that the petulant Shiv Sena has expressed its willingness to become a junior partner in the post-poll alliance.

The BJP MLAs will gather at party's state headquarters at Nariman Point at 11 AM and then proceed towards the Vidhan Bhavan where they will pay tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The BJP legislature party meeting will begin in the Vidhan Bhavan at 4 PM in presence of party's central observers, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and party's national general secretary Jagat Prakash Nadda.

BJP won 122 seats in the 288-member Assembly. Govind Rathod, who was elected from Mukhed in Nanded, passed away on Sunday, reducing party's strength to 121.

The BJP will hold the swearing-in of a minority government on October 31.
