BJP activist killed, 2 injured in accident

Mathura: A BJP activist was killed and two others injured after the car in which they were travelling collided with a divider here, police said today.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Sevak Nishad (45), a BJP activist from Pinahat, Agra, while Arjun Singh and Goverdhan Lal, both residents of Pinahat, Agra, were injured.

The incident occurred on Sunday when they were on their way from Noida to Agra. A tyre of their vehicle burst following which the driver lost control over the car which collided with the divider, they said.

The injured were rushed to Mathura hospital from where they were referred to SN Medical College, Agra, they said.

While Nishad succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital, the condition of the injured is stated to be stable, police added.
