BJP, TRS activists clash in the presence of ministers

Hyderabad: BJP-TDP activists attacked on ruling TRS party’s activists on Thursday in front of BJP’s Central Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and Telangana IT & Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarak Rama Rao during an inauguration function at Uppal in Hyderabad.

Central Minister for Labour & Employment (Independent charge) Bandaru Dattatreya and Telangana IT & Panchayat Raj Minister KTR from ruling TRS party had attended the function near Uppal Cricket Stadium to inaugurate a water pipeline works here. During the function, when the Ministers were on the dais, a commotionensued between the BJP-TDP activists and the TRS activists.

The TRS activists also tried to oppose the attack from the BJP-TDP activists. Excise Minister Padma Rao tried to calm down the commotion but in vain. Later, the situation came under control with the intervention of local ACP and the police force

There has been a hostile atmosphere between the two groups since few days , which lead to the altercation in the Thursday’s meeting. The opposition activists alleged that the TRS was resorting to political gimmicks in view of the GHMC elections
