Be Prepared For Snap Polls: Vijayamma

YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayalakshmi on Friday sprang a surprise on the party rank and file by calling upon them to get ready to face mid-term elections to the state assembly.

There might be mid-term elections to the state assembly any time. The party leaders and cadres should be prepared to face them whenever the elections are announced. It is the responsibility of everybody to strive hard and strengthen the party at all levels before Jaganmohan Reddy comes out of jail, Vijayamma said while addressing the extended executive meeting of YSR Congress at its central office.

Vijayammas call came as a surprise because it was only on Thursday she told the media that her party had no intention of pulling down the Kiran Kumar Reddy government. Obviously, she might have discussed the issue with her son in the jail. One does know what is there in the mind of Jagan, but her statement has certainly triggered the speculation that Jagan is in for a bigger plan and will not hesitate to pull down the government in case the CBI tightens the noose around him.
