Bayyaram mines decision benefits state: CM

Even as every party in the state is opposing the allocation of iron ore mines at Bayyaram in Khammam district to the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy defended his decision saying it was in the best interests of the nation.

The CM also said that there would be no significant benefit to any particular region. He also stressed that some parties are only misguiding people.
Kiran Reddy also said that the steel plant expansion which would cost around Rs 42,000 crore, would create over 25000 jobs.
