Batukamma festivities begin across Telangana

Hyderabad: Bathukamma celebrations began on a grand note across Telangana on Wednesday. With Batukamma being made a state festival, woman employees of Telangana state secretariat largely participated in the celebrations.

Telangana Jagruthi president and Nizamabad MP Kavitha and Education Minister Jagadeesh Reddy formally inagurated the program in Bhongir. Talking to to media persons, she expressed happiness at the festival being organised in the separate Telangana state. She said Batukamma represents the cultural spirit of Telangana.
