Bank Customers Resort To Stone Pelting

Hyderabad: Customers of State Bank of India (SBI) resorted to stone-pelting following lathicharge by police personnel who wanted to control the surging crowds at the bank premises in Tolichowki, on Friday.

The lathicharge only infuriated the customers who resorted to stone pelting and broke the glass panes of the bank and also of an RTC bus nearby

SBI customers were standing in serpentine queues at the bank to withdraw money early on Friday morning. Police personnel assigned to man the growing crowds resorted to lathi charge.

However, the lathicharge only infuriated the customers who resorted to stone pelting and broke the glass panes of the bank and also of an RTC bus nearby. Consequently, traffic on the Tolichowki stretch came to a standstill for sometime.

No injuries were reported. Additionally police personnel have been rushed-in to control the crowds and clear the traffic on the Tolichowki road.
