Hyderabad: On a complaint filed by Shadnagar Councillor Krishnaveni,
the Hyderabad police on Thursday booked producer Bandla Ganesh and his brother Shivababu under various sections of SC,ST Atrocities Prevention Act.

Krishnaveni complained that Ganesh and his brother abused her and targeted her caste when she asked him to complete a deal of their land purchase in the village.

According to the complaint, Bandla and his brother approached Dr Dilipchandra of Shamshabad who owned lands and poultry farms at Shadnagar and offered to buy them. They paid a small sum towards the advance and promised to complete the deal in a month's time. However, the producer brothers who have been into poultry business for a long time now never turned up to complete the deal.

In the meantime, bank officials sent notices to the owners to repay the loans, but as the land was to be sold to Bandla Ganesh, they insisted that he repay the bank loan and get the lands registered at the earliest.

On Thursday, Bandla and his brother went to the Councillor's house and abused Krishnaveni and her husband Dilipchandra blaming their caste, the complainant said.

The Shadnagar police has booked a case and an investigation is on. The producer and his brother are likely to be arrested in the case.
