Banda Kartika Reddy in police custody

Former Hyderabad mayor Banda Kartika Reddy was taken into custody for staging a dharna against the land dispute in Secunderabad.

Tension gripped the Lalapet Pochamma temple area when the GHMC crew wanted to take some part of the temple land to construct a compound wall. The former mayor staged a dharna which led to heated arguments between the locals and the GHMC officials. 

When the situation turned tense, police arrested Banda Kartika Reddy and 200 residents.
