Balakrishna Reacts To Nandi Awards Controversy

Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna replied to the Nandi Awards controversy in his imitable style.

His movie - Legend - bagged nine Nandi awards, recently. The announcement of the awards and the selection of films raked up a controversy and divided the Telugu film fraternity. However, Balarkrishna credit teamwork for "Legend" winning nine awards. He congratulated the entire film unit of "Legend" besides wishing other recipients of Nandi Awards. He added that "Legend" movie proved through actions and not through words that it is worth the awards.

It may be recalled that social media and the film fraternity is split with allegations that the current edition of Nandi Awards were presented by Andhra Pradesh government to those close to the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP). In this regard, the closeness of MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna with the ruling TDP is well-known.
