Bajrangi Bhaijaan Joins 800 Crore Club

Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan holds significance to the Dabangg actor as this is his first film to have entered the prestigious Rs 800 crore club. The film helmed by Kabir Khan also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child artiste Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. Interestingly, this is the 5th Indian movie to achieve this feat. Bajrangi Bhaijaan narrates the story of a Hindu man out on a mission to take a young Pakistani girl, who is dumb and mute, back to her country. It chronicles his adventures and experiences during his road trip. According to the Chinese box office, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" surpassed the first day collections of Aamir's "Dangal" in China. However, it fell short of Aamir's last release in China, "Secret Superstar", which minted Rs 40 crore on its opening day in the country.

With Bajrangi Bhaijaan crossing the Rs 800 crore mark, it is likely to cause a threat to the record set by Aamir Khan films. Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan films PK, Dangal and Secret Superstar were receievd well in China, but looks like Salman Khan's surging popularity is likely to put them in danger.
