Bajrang Dal activists have more power than police?
Do the Bajrang Dal activists have an upper hand than the police in Hyderabad. So it seems.
According to reports, the activists on Thursday were seen forcing lovers in parks and other public places to either tie rakhi or get married on the spot.
They raided a park in Hyderabad and caught hold of some couples. It is learned that they forcefully married one of the couples at Saibaba temple in ECIL this morning.
At many places, the couples were compelled to tie rakhi fearing Bajrang Dal's reaction.
It may be mentioned here that an advocate from Hyderabad had filed a petition before the SHRC and sought police protection for the lovers. Admitting the petition, the SHRC had ordered the police to provide police protection.
