Bail for 16 accused in Lakshmipeta attack case

A local court today granted bail to 16 out of the 80 accused, arrested in connection with the killing of five persons belonging to a Scheduled Caste at Lakshmipeta in Vangara Mandal of the district.
The attack had taken place on June 12, following a dispute between two groups over a piece of land.
The Sessions Court here ordered release of 16 accused including five women on personal bonds of Rs 10,000 with two sureties.
