1. Shahid Kapoor

Being the son of renowned actors Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azeem, the actor featured as a background dancer in many of the Bollywood movies like Dil Tho Pagal Hain, Kabhi Aag Lage Lag Jaave and Taal.

2. Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant, the most sought-after hero in Bollywood now, was once a background dancer. He was seen in the title song of Hrithik-Aishwarya starrer Dhoom 2. He then soon bid adieu to the dance troupe after he was roped in for Ekta Kapoor's 'Pavitra Rishta', television series. Sushant made his Bollwood debut as a hero with Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che'.

Daisy Shah, who starred opposite Salman Khan in Jai Ho had worked as an assistant choreographer for the Bollywood movies. She was also seen in many popular songs as a background dancer. After Jai Ho became a box office dud, Daisy again struggled a lot to establish her career. She was last seen in Vishal Pandey's Hate Story 3. She is currently shooting for her next film Race 3.

5. Arshad Warsi

Arshad has become popular with the movie Munnabhai MBBS, which has made the actor him most sought-after in comic space. He was seen in Golmaal and Golmaal again, which has garnered huge collections at the box office. Not only as a actor, Arshad is famous as a choreographer too. He was also a background dancer before appearing becoming the hero.

6. Remo D'souza

The popular and highest paid choreographer in Bollywood had appeared as a background dancer in the films of 90s. Remo also turned as a director with the dance movie ABCD. 7. Farah Khan

Farah is known for her choreography who immensely contributed her dancing skills to Bollywood. She made her directional debut with the film Main Hoon Naa.

8. Saroj Khan

Saroj Khan, a popular choreographer had earlier appeared as background dancer in many of the black and white films. She started her career in a child artist with the film Nazarana. After appearing in many songs, Saroj worked as assistant choreographer to Sohan Lal. Later she turned into an independent choreographer with the movie Geeta Mera Naam in 1974.

9. Dia Mirza

Before entering the B-town, Dia starred as a background dancer in a song of Tamil movie En Swasa Kaatre. She later turned as a model and appeared in Femina Miss India 2000, where she stood as runner-up. Dia appeared on the screen first in Gautham Menon's Rehna Hain Tere Dil Main.

10. Kajal Aggarwal

Kajal is one of the popular actresses in South India. The actress was seen as a background dancer in the Hindi film Kyun Ho Gaya Na, which stars Aishwarya and Vivek Oberoi as lead actors. She made her debut as a heroine in the Telugu film Lakshmi Kalyanam. Kajal established her career with Krishna Vamsi's Chandamama.
