Baadshah audio release, the most disorganised event? - Sakshi Post

What comes to your mind when you think of audio release function of a movie? Well, filmmakers these days make it a grand affair. Audio launch function is technically one of the key promotional events for a movie's success. Thus filmmakers leave no stone unturned to make it memorable.

Right from designing an innovative event invite and flying in celebrities to grace the event to deciding a venue and choosing the time, filmmakers make every effort to make sure the event is a done on a big scale and strikes a chord with the fans. To simply out it audio release function implies glamour, glitz and grandeur. Everything is perfectly in order that nothing can go wrong. However, the audio launch of NTR's upcoming film Baadshah was anything but that. The event was marked by chaos and stampede... every possible thing that could go wrong did!

The audio launch function of Jr NTR's 'Baadshah' is an event that fans will never forget. The event took place at Rama Naidu studio on Sunday. Although the audio launch was to begin at 6.30 yesterday, fans started arriving at the venue from afternoon itself.

Getting tickets for the audio function was not a big deal when compares to getting a seat at the venue. Everyone tried to grab a chair closer to the venue. There were three types of passes- VVIPs, VIPs and ordinary pass (fans' pass).

While the first two sections (VVIPs and VIPs ) are always safe, the fans at the ordinary section suffer the most in every audio release function.  Police had to resort to lathicharge at least once in every event at the fans section.
While the police lathicharge fans on one side, the bouncers push fans aside on the other side. Despite all these hurdles, fans enjoy the event. Raju from Ursugutta in Warangal district too enjoyed the audio function by watching his star NTR. Merely thirty minutes after the show began, there was a stampede. Thanks to the entry of Jr NTR. The scene resembled straight out of a movie where a hero makes an entry. Every fan out there was dying to get a glimpse of his favorite star.

Police had to intervene to bring the situation under control. However, nothing could prevent the death of Raju, one of NTR's fans. He was killed in the stampede, while scores of others were hurt.

Talking to Sakshipost, one of his friends said: "We came all the way from Ursugutta to watch the function. We were a group of 80 members when we came here. But now, we are just 79. What happened was very sad and unbelievable."

He also said that lack of security arrangements claimed Raju's life. NTR who learnt about the incident plunged into deep grief. The actor asked producer Bandla Ganesh to stop the launch function immediately. However, a disheartened Bandla managed to convince NTR to carry on the function for a few minutes more. NTR expressed deep shock at the incident. He bowed his head to apologised. "I lost one of brothers from my family," he said adding that he would take care of Raju's family. Bandla Ganesh on the other hand, announced a compensation of Rs 5lakhs to the family of the deceased.

Sources say NTR also took all the details of Raju's family from the Warangal fans association president and assured to call them or pay them a visit on Monday.

Medak MP Vijayashanti called for a ban on Baadshah release in Telangana region stating that the function went on without a condolence meet for the departed soul (Telangana bidda Raju).

Referring to NTR's silence for an hour post tragedy, she said that it only reflects the egoistic attitude of the Seemandhra people. She also appealed the fans to boycott the film in Telangana region. Police in Warangal registered a case against Bandla Ganesh.
