Azam Khan Rebukes Rape Victim for Seeking Help

Kanpur: Controversial Uttar Pradesh politician Azam Khan is once again in news for his inappropriate comments at a rape victim. The minister passed the comments while he was approached by a rape victim at a program “Ganga ki pukaar” on Friday.

The victim had approached him for justice, only to experience a rude shock. The minister replied harshly when she went near him requesting for justice and he asked her to leave the place immediately without trying to gain publicity and sympathy for herself in front of the media.

“A case was registered with the police on July 27 and their inaction led the woman to meet the minister,” the victim’s lawyer said. BJP senior leader Lakshmikanth Bajpai criticized Azam Khan’s response and demanded him to seek apology for his inhuman behavior towards the woman. He also demanded Akhilesh Yadav government to take action against the minister.
